The Florida Keys offers some of the best reef snorkeling in the world. Florida is the only state in the continental United States to have extensive reef building coral formations near its coasts. Every year, over six million visitors come to the Florida Keys to enjoy the incredible coral reef system and the unique waters in which it lives.

The waters immediately surrounding most of the 1,700 islands that make up the Florida Keys have been designated as a national marine sanctuary since 1990. The sanctuary extends 220 miles in a northeast to southwest arc between the southern tip of Key Biscayne, south of Miami, to beyond, but not including, the Dry Tortugas Islands.

Having been involved in the Key West charter business for over 25 years, Captain Scott Gordon knows the Key West waters like the back of his hand. His tarpon fishing trips in Key West Harbor are legendary. But this isn't the only type of fishing Captain Scott excels at; he also enjoys going offshore around Key West in search for Blackfin Tuna, Sailfish, Wahoo, Snapper, Grouper, Shark and Mahi-Mahi. He can take you around the Key West waters, to the many wrecks scattered around the Lower Keys to fish for snappers or groupers, king mackerels or sharks; or to the different reefs in and around the Key West.
